DESCRIPTION

The light blue oval that can be seen from afar.

Flores is the Altanus collection dedicated to watches with the most expressive design, and this 7826 is its most recognizable example: oval case, polished profile with lobed detailing along the edge, and a light blue dial that covers the entire available surface. It is not a discreet watch, and that is the point.

The dial is the most refined part. The background features a concentric circle guilloché pattern that changes tone depending on the light, from light blue to turquoise. Above it are four large cream-colored Arabic numerals at the cardinal points, with applied oval markers for the intermediate hours and a printed minute track along the entire edge. The hour and minute hands match the cream color of the numerals, while the seconds hand is thin and dark. The choice of a single shade, echoed by the strap, makes the watch appear as a single colorful object.

The case back declares the product's identity: Swiss movement, steel, and registered Italian design. It is the typical Altanus formula, a Geneva-based company that is still in business today, which combined Swiss mechanics with Italian design.

This piece is a NOS, New Old Stock: it is not a used watch, but a piece that was never sold and remained in our inventory from the years when the jewelry store was an official Altanus retailer. It is immediately apparent from the photos: the factory protective film is still applied to the entire case and crystal, and the blue Altanus Genève oval tag is still attached to the strap with the original blue thread.

The case
38 mm oval stainless steel case, with a polished finish and lobed detailing along the edge. Knurled crown on the right side. Short, curved lugs integrated into the case profile. Steel case back secured with four screws, with "Altanus", "FLORES COLLECTION" and "7826" engraved in the center and, along the edge, "SWISS MOV'T", "ALL STAINLESS STEEL" and "ITALIAN DESIGN REGISTERED".

The dial
Light blue dial with concentric circle guilloché decoration. Large cream-colored Arabic numerals at 12, 3, 6 and 9, applied oval markers for the other hours, printed minute track along the edge. Cream-colored leaf-shaped hour and minute hands, thin and dark seconds hand. Date display at 6, with a white disc. On the dial: "Altanus" on the left and "FLORES" on the right, below 12.

The movement
Swiss-made quartz movement, as stated by the "SWISS MOV'T" engraving on the case back. Functions: hours, minutes, central seconds and date display. It does not require winding: it is battery-powered and maintains its accuracy without daily maintenance.

The strap
Light blue crocodile-print leather strap, with "Altanus" embossed on the inside and matching stitching. Polished steel deployment buckle with the Altanus "a" logo engraved. Never worn on the wrist.

Operating condition
The battery has been replaced and the watch is in working order. The factory film still applied to the case and crystal and the tag attached to the strap confirm its NOS condition.
