The punto luce is the best-selling diamond jewelry in the world, and for a precise reason: it is the only one that can be worn every day for twenty years without ever getting tired of it. It does not have a style that goes out of fashion because it has no style: it has a stone and a chain. The entire design, therefore, is played out in the millimeters of the setting.

The CLD5419 chooses a less obvious path than the straight-prong bezel. The four prongs holding the diamond are shaped like petals — wide at the base, rounded at the tip — and closing over the stone they form a small quadrilobed shape, like a flower seen from above. It is a detail that is only noticeable up close and that changes the character of the jewelry: from a technical setting to a small designed object, without adding a gram of bulkiness.

Above the bezel, a rectangular solid-link bail gathers the chain. It is a functional choice before an aesthetic one: it keeps the pendant perpendicular to the neck and prevents it from rotating on itself during the day — the flaw that afflicts punto luce threaded directly into the link.
