Gold crosses are among the oldest and most gifted pieces of jewelry. This Miluna chooses a different path from the traditional one: instead of a solid metal surface, the shape is constructed entirely with diamonds, aligned in two rows along the vertical arm and in pairs on the side arms.

The result is a cross that, when worn around the neck, appears as a small line of light, almost immaterial. The metal is there — supporting each stone with its prongs — but it recedes behind the gems, and from a meter away all that can be seen is only the light.

The 14 diamonds

They are natural diamonds, for a total weight of 7.2 points — that is 0.072 carats distributed across the fourteen stones. Two characteristics define them:

Color G. On the international scale ranging from D (absolutely colorless) to Z, G belongs to the "near colourless" group, and is the highest grade in that group. In practice, this means that to the naked eye the stone appears white, without that yellowish tint that betrays the lower grades — and this is why it pairs perfectly with white gold, which with a yellowish diamond would create an unrefined contrast.

SI clarity. This stands for Slightly Included: internal inclusions exist — they almost always do in a natural diamond — but they are not visible to the naked eye, only with a ten-power magnifying lens. It is the clarity grade that offers the best ratio between visual performance and price, because you only pay for what you see.

9 kt white gold

9 kt gold contains 375 parts of pure gold per thousand. Compared to 18 kt, it has a lower gold content, and this has two concrete consequences: it is harder and more scratch-resistant, because the higher percentage of alloy metals stiffens the structure, and it is more affordable for the same craftsmanship and stones.
