DESCRIPTION

Arcly, the jewel that recharges with light

Citizen L is Citizen's feminine line, designed for those who want a watch that can be worn like a jewel. Arcly, released in spring 2024, takes inspiration from the rising sun and the idea of a new beginning. In the version without diamonds, the design is reduced to the essentials: light and mother-of-pearl do all the work, with no added decorations.

The heart of the watch is the Eco-Drive technology, which Citizen was the first to develop. Under the dial is a solar cell that transforms light into energy and stores it in a rechargeable accumulator. There are no batteries to replace. Just wear it or leave it near a window so it stays charged, and if the energy is about to run out, the watch will indicate it on its own.

The case
Round case in stainless steel plated in a rose gold tone, 31.2 mm in diameter and 8 mm thick. It remains slim and looks good on a female wrist, even under the cuff of a shirt. The sapphire crystal is domed and scratch-resistant. Water-resistant up to 5 bar: suitable for everyday use and occasional splashes of water, not for swimming.

The dial
Natural mother-of-pearl dial with iridescent reflections. The indices are baton-style, without numbers, in the same tone as the case. It only shows the time: hours and minutes with two baton-style hands, without a seconds hand or date display, for a clean and elegant look. At the bottom at 6 o'clock, there is the Eco-Drive inscription.

The movement
Citizen E031 Eco-Drive caliber: a quartz movement powered by light. When fully charged, it has an autonomy of about 6 months. It has a low-charge warning and overcharge protection. Being a standard Citizen caliber, it can be serviced without difficulty.

The bracelet
Stainless steel bracelet, in the same plating as the case, with a deployant clasp and safety buttons.
